I am a music lover and I consider music as my main platform of interest. Here's a couple of music blogs that I go through often and time to time.

ON MUSIC

1. The Flying Lugaw

Find honest and straightforward reviews about the current events in the Philippine music scene. These blog posts come from the people behind The Flying Lugaw, composed of identities who have a lot of opinions about local music. From OPM album reviews and gig coverages, it gives a perfect scope of the culture in the Philippine Music Scene.

2. NPR Music

On an international spectrum on music, NPR presents music on a more accessible level. A famous feature of NPR is Tiny Desk, where in they hold mini concert sessions of international artists who are on the rise to fame. The Tiny Desk feature is what hooked me in the first place because live performances give the best grasp of what the artist has in store for his/her audience. The people behind this blog feature album reviews, a list of top songs on the market, news about artists, and many more.

3. Melodrive: The Sound of AI

This music blog concentrates on a more edgy, indie, and unique sound of artists in the music industry. It's not like a blog with reviews such as The Flying Lugaw or NPR Music, but it's a platform that gives a good grasp of the production processes and detailed technicalities behind a song produced in the market.

4. When In Manila

Not really a music blog, but its charm is its accessibility and closeness to its audience. The articles produced on this blog cover all the events, interests, and trends in the city of Manila. Although it does feature upcoming local artists in the music industry with articles written by famous music critiques in the Philippines. It's a perfect platform for everyone to know the whereabouts of the city; the hottest places to visit, the most wanted things to try out, and the best experiences to have.

5. Spotify Community

There's no better music review place than a blog that's written by the artists themselves, with their audiences. Spotify is considered to be the one of the top music streaming platforms in the world because of its feature to allow artists to upload their original content onto the site. This blog reviews artists in Spotify, and gives opportunities for these artists to dialogue with their listeners.
