HAPPINEWS: July 11, 2019

Happinews was a mobile journalism event held in Cinema 5 at Robinsons Galleria last July 11, 2019.

The event was done in partnership with ABS-CBN with host, Gretchen Ho, former star Ateneo de Manila University volleyball player and current television host in TV Network ABS-CBN, and speaker, Yusuf Omar, a multi-award winning journalist and co-founder of @hashtagourstory.

I attended the mobile journalism event and gained a new grasp of what mobile journalism is and its relevance in our generation.

Students for various universities attended the event, but a handful of the audience were Journalism students from Polytechnic University of the Philippines.

As audience members, we were encouraged to use our mobile phones in order to participate in the activities such as filming live videos, on the stop mobile editing of videos and afterwards uploading it unto the Hashtag Our Story page.

An open forum was held afterwards where 6 questions were entertained by speaker, Yusuf Omar.
